It may have taken me four years but I finally made it to the Homecoming Bed Races at Rutgers University. On Thursday night, student organizations and sport teams competed against one another to see who could build the best bed, who could create the best costume, and who could race with their bed down College Avenue the fastest.
Students lined a decent stretch of College Ave, even filling the bleachers they set up for the special event, and watched as our peers pushed beds down the street as fast as they possibly could. The Rutgers University Programming Association distributed free cowbells to everyone so all you heard was the noise of screaming, clapping, cheering, and cowbells.
I’m definitely happy I went at least once! 🙂
