It's Surgery Time.

Today’s the big day! It’s time for my surgery.

Hoping everything goes smoothly during the operation. I’m still pretty freaked out by the whole general anesthesia thing. I really don’t want to have an out of body experience during my operation. The thought of forcing unconsciousness… ugh. Can I ask to be blindfolded? Actually, that wouldn’t help.

I have to recover from this ASAP with all of the stuff coming up over the next few weeks. Please please please let the healing process go well.

To get my mind off of things, my sister and I watched Whisper of the Heart from Studio Ghibli. Very cute movie! I enjoyed it a lot!

I’ve set this post to publish itself while I’m unconscious and being worked on.
I hope to be back soon…

Until next time!

  1. I hope it all goes well for you, Rocky. I’ve been there with “forced unconsciousness” and, in retrospect, it wasn’t as bad (not bad at all, the anesthesia part, because it really seems akin to a deep, deep sleep) as I had fretted. I don’t know what the procedure is, but I had local anesthesia recently for dentistry and the TV was on and it actually helped, though I’m not big on TV, because I let my mind wander and made up a silly alternative TV infomercial to the one that was actually on. Perhaps you can cling onto some positive memory or image, use it like a mantra, as they are sedating you; I’m sure you have many. 🙂 Best wishes!
