“Think of your longest relationship: describe how your love has changed over time, did you go from the giddiness of infatuation, to mad passion, to deep respect, esteem, and friendship? Tell us about your love story.” –The Daily Post
I haven’t had much luck with relationships. The few guys I’ve seen for short periods of time each taught me a valuable lesson though.
- I’ll likely be unhappy in a relationship with an extrovert.
- I don’t think I can ever date another smoker.
- The person has to share certain values with me.
If you consider the MBTI, I think it does a good job of helping depict who I’d get along great with in a relationship.
I vs E
The person will almost certainly be an introvert. I’ve dated extroverts and that never went well. My mom and dad are both introverts and they’re happily married so maybe that would be the best route for me too.
N vs S
I’ve gone on dates with sensors and intuitives and both were nice. I generally enjoy talking to intuitives more because the conversations are deeper but it’s not a significant difference.
F vs T
Something tells me that dating a thinker would compliment me as a feeler. But then again, another feeler would be cool too. No preference here as of now.
P vs J
I can’t date a perceiver. I just can’t. I need order – a schedule – an agenda – structure. I’ve dated sensors and I see how my family’s sensors are. I can’t. My special someone has to be a judger.

Where are all of you at???
Update (12/15/14) – I take this back. I’m talking to an extrovert/perceiver and we get along just fine. It really does just depend on the person I guess. As long as they lay closer to the border, I guess it’s easier to tolerate.
