“What is the best dream you’ve ever had? Recount it for us in all its ethereal glory. If no dream stands out in your memory, recount your worst nightmare. Leave no frightening detail out.” –The Daily Post
To be honest, I remember enough of my crazy dreams that I could probably write another blog on that topic alone.
I’ll go with one of the earliest nightmares I can remember.
I was 5 years old and going shopping with my mom and her two sisters. We parked outside of this odd building. I’ll do my best to describe it because it was a weird combination… it started off as a car wash. If you walked through the car wash, it led to a beauty salon, and then if you continued to walk deeper into the building, it ended with a clothing store.
I remember my mom and her sisters got caught up in the salon and wanted to get their nails painted and their hair done. I thought that was boring so I ran off into the store without telling any of them. Once I got into the store, I realized how huge it was. Maybe I should have told them where I was going… Oh well, too late now!
As I was walking around this giant super-sized, suddenly I heard screaming and panic. The lights in the store started to flicker on and off. I decided to crawl into one of those round clothing displays- the perfect hiding spot for any kid!
I remember peeking under the hanging clothes to see people running past me in a frenzy. WHAT WAS HAPPENING? Then I saw this large giant robot rolling past. I didn’t know it at the time, but its appearance seems to have been largely based on Star Wars R2D2 except more demonic in nature. It had one big red eye.
He kept rolling past me back and forth and I remember trying to hold my breath and stay still so he wouldn’t detect my presence. Unfortunately, I think one of my legs moved and kicked a hanger that was resting on the floor. Demonic R2D2 forcefully pushed apart the clothes, grabbed me by my head, and basically killed me but that’s when I woke up. The End.
I don’t know why it had to end like that… like was that really necessary? 🙁
