Daily Prompt: Singin’ in the Rain

“Safe inside, toasty warm, while water pitter-patters on the roof… describe your perfect, rainy afternoon.” –The Daily Post

I love this prompt! Ok, I have two responses for this one so I’ll keep them both on the shorter side.

1. My perfect rainy afternoon would be an afternoon spent with my boyfriend- whoever he may be. We would put on rain jackets and go for a walk. Just around the block- through the park- wherever we end up. We could even hold hands and not feel as uncomfortable because the rain would be like a shield for us. Even the rain jackets would help cover us up from the outside world. It’s not that I’m scared to show the world who I am, it’s just that no matter how comfortable you are with things, people will always stare when they see you in any sort of LGBT relationship and it’s pretty hard to get used to those stares.

2. Instead of going for a walk, my other perfect rainy afternoon would be spent baking cookies and other things in the kitchen with this imaginary boyfriend… I guess the thought of cooking with someone just sounds like fun. I never bake anything so it would be fun giving it a shot- especially if the guy I’m with doesn’t know how to cook either. Oh god, I can picture so many things going wrong hahaha.
